Privacy Policy
Overview
Beyond Pixels helps users browse photos, organize albums, manage labels, and optionally generate AI descriptions for selected images. The app does not sell personal information.
Information the App Accesses
- Photos and media: used to show gallery items, albums, viewer details, delete/manage workflows, and selected-image AI descriptions.
- Notification permission: requested only if the user enables notifications.
- Local settings: preferences such as theme, font size, haptics, animation settings, custom names, cached descriptions, and AI configuration.
- Google Play Billing: donation purchases are handled through Google Play Billing.
AI Descriptions
When a user chooses to generate an AI description, the selected image may be resized and sent with prompt data to Google Gemini using the API key configured in the app. This does not happen during ordinary gallery browsing.
Notifications
If notifications are enabled, the app may request and use an Expo push token to deliver notifications. The app does not use this token for advertising or selling user data.
Local Storage
Beyond Pixels stores preferences, cached AI descriptions, custom names, and the user-provided API key locally on the device using app storage and secure storage where available.
Data Sharing
Beyond Pixels does not sell personal information. Data may be processed by service providers only for app features the user chooses to use, including Google Gemini for AI descriptions, Expo/Firebase infrastructure for push notifications, and Google Play Billing for donations.
Retention and Deletion
- Local app data remains until the user clears it, clears the app cache, deletes cached descriptions, or uninstalls the app.
- AI provider, notification, and payment retention practices are controlled by those service providers when their services are used.
Children
Beyond Pixels is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe information has been provided in error, contact the developer.
